Thank you so much for looking at my work. I absolutely love what I do and I feel blessed everyday that people ask me to do such an important thing for them. I know you are busy; you’re planning a wedding! So I’m going to tell you the important things about myself. But if you have time please, please, PLEASE call me. Getting to know each other in person is what this is all about. We have to vibe, laugh, and truly want to work together because this is kinda a big deal. Ok, on with the story…
I’m a wedding and lifestyle photographer based in Lawrence, Kansas City and the Wichita areas. That means I will travel to any of those places, free of charge. I also travel to any other destination (of course) and often I find I can be cheaper and work with you on budget because I feel like I get a little mini vaca out of it too!
I first picked up a camera when I was 14 years old. At the time, while I would never admit it, I might have been a bit melodramatic. I had this grandiose idea of what “photographers” do. I mean, they walk around with a camera, looking cool and stylish and being edgy. Right? Well, as I have found out most of the time I walk around sweaty, make a fool of myself and while I’d love to be the stylish girl in heels shooting it’s just not practical.
Once I set all that aside though, I realized what I really love about photography. The connection you make, the story you tell, the moment that you capture so that it can be admired, studied and cherished for years to come. That’s important and real stuff. Whether it’s a news documentary I’m working on or your wedding, I believe with all my heart that I am doing one of the most important things in the entire world. I’m telling your story and capturing the memories of a life.
Ok, I have goose bumps. Seriously. As cheesy as some of that sounds I really do believe it. If you meet me you will probably get me within a few minutes. I’m an open book, a good communicator and very passionate about photography and life in general.
Enough about me. Call me so I can take you to get coffee and you can start telling me all about your story!
